Chapter 144
I find myself sitting in a cell again. This seems to be a recurring theme for me now. I’m unsure of how long I’ve been sitting here, but it’s getting stupid.
The door opens, and the same woman as before is standing there.
“We need to get some questions answered,” she turns, and I follow. I find myself sitting in the room with her. I explained the entire situation, starting with the contract with Eros and how it went against my working contract.
By the time I’m done, she is looking at me like I’m talking crap.
“We have no proof that what you said was true, based on your work; how do we know this wasn’t just a typical job, and you lied to Mr Pierce, which led to him feeling he needed to save you?”
My eyes widen. “There is a video!” How can she make out like I lied?
“We’ve looked into your videos, Alexis, and you can be very convincing, a great actress just not good enough for big films, right?” she mocks, and I stare.

“That wasn’t acting,” I reply. “He was going to rape me,” I argue.
“Was he? Or was you just looking a way to get free of your contract and decided that Eros thinking that would help?”
My head shakes at her. The knock has her walk to the door, and I watch as Mr Westbrook walks in. He smiles at me and sits.
“Explain where we’re at in questioning her. Has she been examined, had medical care, and the rape test is done?” He looks at the woman, and she glares at him.
“We’re still in the questioning stage Mr Westbrook, we’re figuring out the true nature of today, and if it was infact non- consensual,” she says.
“There’s video evidence; you shouldn’t be trying to make her say it wasn’t,” Mr Westbrook says, looking at her.
“Video doesn’t help Mr Westbrook, not when her past videos show she is a very good actor,” she sits looking happy.
“If you have watched them, then I’m sure you realised that in all the videos, she is referred to as Bunny Wild, never her personal name, Alexis, as with any of the people in the videos. If what happened today was simply filming, why wasn’t that continued?”
he asks.
“I’m unsure of that, Mr Westbrook, but that is one thing, a

name,” she argues.
“How about the fact that Mr Seamins himself spoke about the contracts and situation, which are all backed up with evidence? You need to pay attention to the facts and the evidence if you continue to try and force my client’s hand into making untrue statements, I will guide her into pressing charges,” he leans closer to her.
She looks between me and him.
“Now, I think you need to follow protocol. She needs medical assistance as her neck is bleeding, and it should have been treated immediately. She is also filing a report against Mr Seamins, and I believe Dale?” He looks at me. I nod quickly at
him.
“Those things I can discuss on her behalf while she is treated,” he argues.
“I will have someone guide her back to a cell,” she says as she stands.
“No, you will not. Miss Burns is a victim; she has done nothing wrong and shouldn’t be held in a cell. You still have questions; that is fine, but she isn’t to be placed in a cell,” Mr Westbrook stares at her.
“Should you not be helping Mr Pierce, considering it is him who

is looking at charges?” she asks.
“Thank you for confirming that Miss Burns isn’t facing charges, that means you can’t force her to stay after she has got medical help. As for My Pierce, he is a smart guy and will be fine, and his priority is Miss Burns.” The words make me smile. I just hope Eros knows what he is doing, as he should have Mr Westbrook with him.
The woman walks out, and I turn to him.
“How is he?” I am worried.
“Mr Pierce will be fine. I’m sure Mr Seamins will be removing charges and rolling over like a good boy any moment now.” He smirks at me.
“Why would he do that?” I ask.
“Because Mr Pierce bought out the entire company, that is who he went to visit. He’s now the owner, which means Elon either agrees, or Mr Pierce has everything he needs to prove just how dirty Elon is with his money,” he sits smiling.
Eros bought the company? I sit shocked and process it.
“Why would he buy the entire company?” I ask.

“For you, Miss Burns. He didn’t like the fact you didn’t have control, as you refused to let him buy you out of the contract. He found another way to ensure you were safe,” he explains.
Of course he figured a way to protect my without buying me out or paying for me. Of all the things he could do, he bought the damn business?
“Miss Burns, we have a room with medical personnel in. You can go through now, and I will speak to Mr Westbrook about everything.” Nodding, I walk out and am guided to another
room.
I don’t really focus on what they are saying or asking. My sole focus is getting out of here, finding Eros, and ensuring he isn’t going to be in trouble for this. Then, maybe shouting at him for buying the company.
To be fair, it wouldn’t be as bad if it was a business he deals with. He’s explained the types of businesses he buys or pays. into, and porn, anything like that, is far from it.
I guess now he’s expanded his portfolio.
“Miss Burns, you may leave now.” The woman looks at me, and I stand.
“Can I speak to Mr Pierce?” I step out of the room, and she shakes her head.

“Miss Burns, Mr Pierce said a car is waiting outside, and you have to go back to his and wait for him,” Mr Westbrook looks at
me.
“No, not until I know he’s fine,” I’m not about to just leave.
“Mr Pierce insisted you leave. He doesn’t want you here.” Mr Westbrook walks to me and guides me outside. “I know you feel like you should stay, but he doesn’t want you here when there’s a chance Elon will show up. He also does not want you going back to your place until the situation is resolved, so please listen as he has enough to sort without worrying over you às well,” he opens the door of the car.
My eyes go back to the police station.
“Miss Burns, please follow his order. He will be home soon,” he stands waiting. Giving up, I nod and get in the car, hoping that he won’t be too far behind me.
