Chapter 373
“Okay, it’s all right. You haven’t been through something like this before, so it’s normal for you not to get it, Cynthia comforted Queena in a gentle voice, giving her a hug.
Cynthia had thought Queena was simply embarrassed about the recent incident, but what Queena said next caught her off guard. Queena choked out, “Cynthia, am I really that unattractive! After everything that happened, Hallet could still stay composed Growing up, Queena didn’t have mach guidance from elder women in many aspects of her life. As a result, her ideas were often shaped by the novels she usually read. In those stories, no guy could resist a girl he liked unless he didn’t like her at all. So, to Queens, this meant Hallet must not like her. This thought made Queena feel even worse than the embarrassment she had just endured.

Cynthia was taken aback by the rapid shift in Queena’s thoughts, leaving her momentarily unsure how to respond. After thinking it over, she finally said, “It’s not about being attractive. I think Hallet is showing respect for you, especially since you two haven’t defined your relationship yet.”
Upon hearing Cynthia’s words. Queena lifted her head with a puzzled look and asked uncertainly, “Really, Cynthia? Then, when did you and Liam become… Do you know what I mean?” Cynthia froze at that. She wondered, “Why did this conversation turn to me? She and Liam had actually met through that, but she couldn’t say that and les Queena get the wrong idea. Glancing at Liam, Cynthia silently wondered whether he could hear them if she whispered.
After a moment, Cynthia withdrew her gaze and casually told a lie. “We just naturally fell into it.” Then, she quickly checked Liam’s expression again. He responded with a knowing smile, leaving Cynthia unsure whether he had heard or not.
Just then, Hallet returned holding a large bag of sanitary pads. Cynthia and Queena were both surprised to see it Cynthia thought to herself, ‘Do guys always buy stuff like this? Liam did it before, and now Hallet. This is too many. How long will it take Queena to finish them?
Without paying attention to their reactions, Hallet handed the bag to Queena. This was his first time buying women’s products, and he wasn’t sure which sizes or brands to get. So, he ended up grabbing a large bag and even thoughtfully picked out a clean pair of pants. Queena felt awkward around Hallet at that moment, especially thinking about her actions over the past two days. She just wanted to disappear. Taking the bag from Hallet, she hurried off to the restroom.
There was a tiny spot of blood on the chair she had just been sitting in. Hallet pulled out a tissue from his pocket, wiped the chair clean without hesitation, and then sat down next to Cynthia. On his way to buy the pads, Hallet also had figured things out. Though he found Queena’s way of thinking both frustrating and funny, the weight that had been on his mind these past few days had finally lifted

“When are you going to make it official with Queena? Cynthia asked, turning to him.
That question gave Hallet a headache. He had wanted to define their relationship for a while now, but every time he tried, Queena dashed off like a startled deer, never giving him a chance to speak up. However, he knew that Queena cared about him after this incident. So, he had made up his
mind
“Soon,” Hallet replied firmly.
Not long after, Queena came out of the restroom, but she didn’t dare to look in Hallet’s direction Haller understood her shyness at this moment and didn’t push it. When the group emerged from the emergency room, Cynthia and Liam decided to check on Vincent in the inpatient ward, and Queena and Hallet also followed them. They arrived at the hospital room to find Vincent lying in bed, with Mila sitting beside him, peeling an apple.
When Liam and Cynthia walked in. Vincent sat up and teased, “You two aren’t off having your private time? How do you have time to come to the hospital?”
“Just came to check if you’re still in one piece, Liam shot back without hesitation. Vincent rolled his eyes. Then, be noticed Haller standing at the door and immediately got angry. He grabbed whatever was nearby and threw it at Haller.
“You’ve got some nerve showing up here. Why are you even here! To see if I’m too weak to deal with you? Vincent remarked as he started to get out of bed
Queena, knowing why Vincent was angry, quickly rushed over to stop him. “Vince, don’t be mad
“What You’re defending this scumbag now? Did you forget how he bullied you?” Vincent’s chest heaved with anger. Queena looked distressed as she struggled to explain the embarrassing incident. Remembering how Vincent had beaten up Haller before, she felt even more humiliated. She couldn’t let Hallet get attacked again for no reason.
Queena tried to block Vincent, who was fuming. “It was my mistake. Things aren’t what you think,” she said hastily.
Vincent couldn’t get past her, so he turned to Cynthia. Knowing that Hallet was Cynthia’s senior and somewhat of a friend, he felt it necessary to discuss the matter with her. He asked Cynthia sternly, “Cynthia, Hallet is your senior. He bullied Queena and isn’t taking responsibility. What do you say about this?” –
Queena felt utterly overwhelmed, her face burning with embarrassment. She thought, ‘How could I be so stupid to mix things up like this?
Chapter 378
Realizing Vincent wouldn’t listen to her explanation, she closed her eyes and shouted the truth.
“It was my mistake! It has nothing to do with Haller. He didn’t do anything Queena shouted before running out of the room. Hallet quickly followed her. Vincent stood there, stunned, processing what Queena had said. He looked to Cynthia for confirmation.
Before he could speak, Cynthia nodded with a serious expression and said, “It’s exactly what you think.” Vincent exhaled deeply and silently returned to his bed. Though relieved that Queena hadn’t been bullied, he was frustrated by her recklessness, feeling utterly embarrassed.
Cynthia then recounted everything that had transpired over the past few days. Vincent finally understood that not only had Hallet not bullied Queena, but he had actually saved her. Staying calm in such a situation was truly impressive.
“Could you tell him I’m sorry! Vincent cleared his throat, feeling awkward.
Cynthia couldn’t help but laugh, thinking. Vincent and Queena really are siblings: Remembering how Hallet had been so tormented lately, she sighed and said. “He won’t hold it again you. He’s just waiting for you, as Queena’s brother, to give your approval
