Chapter 48
“Bridgeport’s Weiss family?”
Lily pursed her lips. “How do we get it?”
“It’s not for sale. Apparently, the Weiss family plans to auction it off. The Weiss family isn’t doing as well as they once did. Their funds are running low. They want to recover more of their money through the auction,” Elliot said
After a pause, he continued, “I heard that when the Weisses put the word out, many expressed interest in the auction right away. Furthermore, all of those individuals have high social standing. Even certain elusive families are on the move.”
Lily narrowed her eyes, her expression cold. “How many does the Weisses have?”
“One” hot browned. “The exact time of the auction is unknown, but the starting bid has been leaked. It’s one billion dollars.”
“Is it possible to acquire an admission ticket? Lily looked down. Her voice was somewhat hoarse.
“Alchos can easily get that.”

“alright, thank you” Lily nabbed her forehead. She wondered if the amount of money on her card would be enough.
The starting bid was one billion dollars. Even with ten billion dollars, she might not be able to get it
Moreover, those reclusive families had been alerted. That made obtaining it much more difficult
Elbot sighed. “You don’t have to thank me for that. You’re a member of Alchos, K. You’re our family. Whatever happens, you have the entire agency to back you up.” There was a pause, and Elliot added, “Also, you don’t need to worry about the money. We’ll put together enough for you.“”
“No need “Lily forrowed her brows. “Give me all of the work if there is any.”
It appeared that she needed to make some money.
rdays.”
Ar that, Elliot laughed “The Kknown for treating money like dirt is actually asking for work because of money. If Panther and the others find out, they’ll be laughing for a Llyfrowned. “You talk way too much.
When she hung up, the class was already over
Lily put her phone in her pocket and walked out.
When she reached the entrance of the bathroom, she bumped into Shannon, who was about to enter
“Lily?” Shannon was clearly surprised to see Lily here.
Something came up at home in the morning, so she wasn’t at school she had just arrived and hadn’t heard about Lily’s deeds yet.
“Do you need anything?” Lily lined her gaze. Her eyes were quite cold.

Lily’s icy demeanor annoyed Shannon the most. Shannon’s eyes glinted before she quickly concealed her emotions. With a smile, she said, “You’re at school. Did Loid help you with the enrollment?”
Shannon didn’t believe Lily could get a recommendation letter from Joseph. Besides, Liam had yet to use his connections to help her enroll, so Shannon assumed Lily could get in because of Loid.
Lily said nothing. She quirked a brow as she looked at Shannon
“Loid is quite impressive. He’s even able to convince the principal. Lily, since Loid helped you get in, you should work hard to prove yourself. Don’t embarrass the Martinez family.
Shannon sounded earnest. All her words seemed to be spoken out of concem for Lily.
Lily smiled, yet it wasn’t genuine. “The Martinez family… What’s it got to do with me
Shannon stiffened. Holding bark her anger, she continued to smile. “I know you’re upset that Mom abandoned you back then. During all those years, I’ve been living a pampered life while you were suffering in the village.
“But that’s what our parents did. We’re still biological sisters. Stop being so distant with me, please?”
Shannon pursed her lips before continuing, “Besides, Mom is trying her best to make it up to you just forgive her. She didn’t mean what she said that day.”
Lily lifted her chin slightly. There was a cold glint in her eyes, and her voice was chilling. “Who is she to deserve my forgiveness?”
“Lily” Tears welled up in shannon’s eyes, making her look pitiable. “Even though she’s made mistakes, she gave you life.”
Lilycouldn’t be bothered to continue this conversation. “Move.”
Shannon refused, so Lily shoved her side and left without looking back
After Lily left, a girl standing beside Shannon asked, “Shannon, who is she? She’s quite beautiful She seems a bit arrogant, though.”
Another girl chimed in, “Yeah You said you were sisters?”
Shannon lowered her head, looking quite aggrieved. “She’s my half–sister, Lily Brooks. We share the same mother, Something happened in our family when we were children, so she grew up in a village. She has just been brought back, but she hates me and our mom.”
She heaved a sigh. I’m not even sure when she’ll forgive us.”
“That’s not even your fault. As one of the girls spoke, something occurred to her. She exclaimed in shock, “You said her name is Lily Brooks?”
