Chapter 39
In 12th grade, Classes 17 and 15 were considered the bottom of the barrel academically.
Not only did the students in these two classes struggle academically, but they were also difficult to manage. Fights and disturbances were a daily occurrence.
Many teachers were reluctant to teach students in these two classes.
There were two reasons for this. First, the students were indeed difficult to manage. Second, Ember Creek High School was more years, it had transformed into an elite academy due to an influx of children from wealthy tamilies.
Just a prestigious institution. In recent
With limited slots available, children from ordinary families often found themselves edged out by the offspring of wealthy familles unless they excelled academically Though most students in honors classes came from average backgrounds, a few came from privileged families. However, to boost graduation rates and mindinize disruptions, teachers generally preferred to focus on students from the honor classes.
Meanwhile, students in remedial classes were left to fend for themselves
With her head hanging low, Lily followed John into Class 18. The Lacus noise that filled the air from the classroom was lible even from the hallway.

As John pushed open the classroom door, the noise instantly ceased. The students all sat down quietly.
“Good morning, Mr. Everton,” the students stood up and greeted John.
Their polline demeanor contrasted sharply with the rumors Lily had heard about them. Lily raised her eyes and scanned the orderly classroom.
“Have a seat.”
John gestured with a chuckle and a wave of his hand. “Let me introduce you to our new transfer student.” Teming to Lily, he continued, “Why don’t you introduce yourself?” Lily lifted her eyelids slightly. She had a stack of books cradled in one arm, and her other hand was tucked in her pocket. Her eyes were veiled by the brim of her cap
Parting her red lips, she nonchalantly uttered two words, “I’m Lily.” With an easygoing vibe, she stood there casually.

Yet, there was something about her that kept people at a distance, especially the way her shoulder bag hung on her shoulder. She seemed both cool and aloof
Everyone stared at Lily. Many students gasped, momentarily stunned into silence. Just who was she?
She was simply too beautiful!
Her long hair cascaded over her shoulders, and a cap perched slightly atop her head. Though her eyes were obscured, her sharply defined features were breathtakingly beautiful. Her skin was flawless too.
Dressed entirely in black, she appeared aloof with one hand casually tucked into her pocket. Her posture exuded a quiet authority like a street boss.
A wave of murmurs swept through the otherwise quiet classroom as gasps and whispers erupted. “Holy crap, she’s stunning!”
“Seriously, that face is out of this world! She’s even prettier than Shannon, our school belle!”
“Looks like we have a new belle in schoolTM
At the back of the classroom, a boy turned to the person behind him and asked, “Tan, where did this girl come from? Do you know her?
The person he addressed was fan Fletcher, the son of the Fletcher family in Lagersfield
In Lagersfield, the Fletcher family held the most prestigious position, wielding immense power and influence, lan glanced at Lily, trying to recall if he’d ever met her. “I’ve never seen her before,” he concluded.
With clean–cut features and a dash of roguish charm playing on his lips, he exuded an air of casual confidence.
“I thought she was from one of your exclusive circles. With her stunning looks, her family must be quite wealthy. How else could she be so beautiful?”
The one speaking was Sean Larson, whose family ran a small business. Accustomed to a life of comfort, he viewed pretty girls as products of lavish spending.
La propped his chin on his hand and pondered for a moment. He knew most of the people in his circle, but he couldn’t recall ever meeting Lily. “She must be from another city,”
Jan roluded
“That’s a possibility,” Sean agreed, turning back without another word.
