Chapter 74
Finished
Through Gabbie’s Perspective Part One
The beta goons were capable of snapping my flimsy arms. If they wanted to get rid of me they would make sure I didn’t survive. Kade filled the doorframe and dared them to come any further. The goons must have been caught in two minds because they couldn’t hurt the only heir to the Sanders pack.
“Out of the way, Kaden. I warned you this would happen!” Aiden Sanders bellowed.
My heart leapt into my throat. He wouldn’t hurt his son. He wanted me.
Imagines of Gareth’s pain, when his mate was killed, flashed in my mind rapidly. The black mark appeared on his chest when she died. If Kade was hurt a part of my soul would leave with him. He was stubborn and would provoke a fight.
I needed to find a way to get out of this without us getting hurt but the chances for me were devastatingly low.
“I told you I’m not leaving her! She’s my fated mate, get that into your thick head.”
Aiden fisted Kade’s shirt. “Rejection was created to get us out of the moon goddess’s messes! The Alpha of the Sanders pack cannot be mated to a wolf–less omega. Are you insane?”
“I don’t care what she is. She’s mine overall.”
Aiden yanked Kade forward but Kade only budged a notch. He was determined not to let them get me.
I didn’t need to see his face to know the fire in his eyes burned as bright as the hatred and malice in his Father’s gaze. I didn’t want him to fight with his Dad but I know he’ll never accept me as long as I stay wolf–less and that isn’t changing any time soon.
“Stop, please… I don’t want your pack,” I said.
Aiden settled on me. Kade reached out and took my hand.
“You want my son that’s the same thing,” he spat.
“I wouldn’t hurt anyone.” A couple of suspicious images of me using illegal blows against wolves at the academy came to mind but I shooed them away.
“Take her even if you have to go through Kade.”
Aiden marched off.
The first beta wolf grabbed Kade’s shoulder but my mate shoved him back. As Kade battled two wolves at once I looked for something to help him. The empty bottle is on the table. Forget what I said about not hurting anyone. Kade locked arms with a shifter. I swung the bottle and bashed it against his head.
He grunted and dropped to his knees.
“Gabbie.” Kade said.

“Can we run now?”
He laughed. “Sure.”
He left the second beta unconscious near the window
“No.” Aiden barked.
A bullet of Alpha power tripped me and set me in Kade’s arms.
“Stop.” Kade demanded.
“She’ll just have to die in your arms,” Aiden scowled.
A bullet turned to a bash. I groaned. I knew what that man felt like after I hit him with a bottle. I slipped to the cold welcoming floor and panted. Another bash hit me and I cried.
“Stop! You can’t do this!” Kade shielded me from his Dad but the Alpha power was too strong it went through him and attacked me.
Something wet appeared on my upper lip. I smelt blood and touched the substance. My vision fogged but I was able to see the red liquid.
“Kade,” I rasped.
“I’m doing you a favour, Kade. You and the entire pack.”
“If she dies, you can forget about me being Alpha!” Kade stood.
He squared off with his Father but Aiden could multitask. Hammer blows of Alpha power bore down
on mc.
“You’re in no position to make threats.”
“It’s not a threat Aiden. I’ll relinquish my title and you and Sanders pack can go to hell!”
I curled into a ball but that didn’t stop the pain. I needed a river of ice to save me. Aiden growled ferociously and the heavy blows stopped suddenly.
“You can’t do this Kaden. You’ve been training your whole life, son!”
I rolled on my back and panted heavily. I wanted to care about their family squabble but I was in desperate need of that river of ice.
“Aiden Sanders!” My Dad’s voice boomed.
That sobered me up instantly. I sat up and locked eyes with Kade..
“What is he doing here?” I hissed
Kade helped me to my feet and locked his arms around my waist.

Aiden turned around and took a step back.
“What the hell are you doing here?” Aiden demanded but his words lacked venom. “You should be dead
Dad turned the blade in his hands and scrutinized it seriously before putting it back on its holder on his belt.
“Who told you that? Ruben Henry?” Dad asked.
“I should have known better than to trust a Henry. What the hell are you doing here?”
“Right now I’m here to settle a score with you. Gabriella get out of here.”
Aiden turned and raised his brows before a sinister smile spread on his face.
“She’s yours…” He barked out a laugh.
“Mine and Adrianna’s, Dad deadpanned.
So that’s her name.
Hearing Dad’s revelation cut Aiden’s laugh short.
“Impossible. You’re a Hunter and she was a wolf. She wouldn’t have… she couldn’t have.”
Dad shrugged. “She was a rebel.”
Aiden stole another glance at me. He raked a hand through his dark hair with traces of salt in it. What did this mean? He knew my Mother. So did Athena she confessed it to me. Before questions could properly formulate Dad ripped his knife from the holder and pointed it at Aiden.
“I’ve been waiting a long time for this!“.
I broke free from Kade. “Dad stop!”
I stood between Dad and Aiden holding my hands up
“He’s a selfish son of a gun. If only your son knew how much blood you had on your hands he’d be ashamed.”
“You don’t understand what happened that night!” Aiden yelled back.
-Dad please, you can’t do whatever you planned to do. We need to talk.”“”
“You don’t get it. It started with him and it’s going to end with him.”
I could move out of the way and let Dad remove the obstacle between Kade and me or Aiden could rip my Father apart but that wasn’t the route for me. There was a story here of hatred and blood.
“Dad please, what’s more important?”

He turned around expecting me to follow.
“I’m sorry, Kade,” I said, walking towards my Dad.
He nodded. I hoped he believed things could have ended a lot worse.
Our secret was out but there were others still buried.
“I know where we can talk in private,” Dad said.
It was time to grab a shovel and exhume the secrets.
