Chapter 198 A Date? Sounds Great!
Kate’s suggestion caught Eric off guard.
They had been married for over three years, yet they had never gone to the movies together. In the past, Kate had always been resistant to him. Every time they met, it often ended in arguments.
Even though Kate had changed significantly, they still hadn’t experienced a simple outing like going to the movies.
Her proposal stirred something inside Eric.
Before he could respond, Kate excitedly pulled out her phone and started looking up movie. tickets.
After browsing for a while, she asked, “Eric, what kind of movies do you like?”
Eric fell silent for a moment.
He had never watched movies before.
Before he could answer, Kate continued, I’ll treat you to a movie this time, so I’ll decide.”
She snuggled into Eric’s arms and scrolled through the current showings. Then she quickly picked one. “How about this one? I haven’t seen it, but the reviews online are great.”
Kate held her phone up to Eric and asked seriously, “Let’s not book a private screening. Let’s go. like an ordinary couple. Okay?”
Eric could never refuse any of Kate’s requests, so her
nodded readily and said, “Okay.”
After choosing the show time and location, Kaed out of bed and began to get ready.
Eric watched her retreating figure with a hint of regret. His arms felt empty without her. He wished he had let her take a bit longer to choose.
After Kate finished washing up, she gently pushed Eric into the bathroom and thoughtfully helped him wash his face. Once they were both ready, they headed to the dining room for breakfast.
“Betty, there is no need to prepare lunch for Eric and me today.”
After they had eaten their fill, Kate lounged on the sofa and called out to Betty.
Betty glanced at the two of them snuggling together, her smile radiant. “Oh, Madam, are you and Mr. Eric going out to eat?”
Kate snuggled against Eric’s arm and nodded naturally. “Yes! Eric and I are going to see a movie

Kate pushed Eric back to their room. They both changed into casual clothes–Eric in black and Kate in white, matching outfits.
Kate admired their reflection in the mirror, then put on her hat and face mask. She and Eric headed out together.
As usual, George was their driver.
When George learned they were going to the movies, he glanced at Eric several times throught the rearview mirror, as if wanting to say something but holding back.
In the end, George accompanied them into the cinema after getting their tickets.
Since Eric had mobility issues, someone needed to be with him. Aside from that, these were turbulent times.
Kate understood this, so she chose a cinema in the Lowe Group’s mall and quietly informed Hendrick to enhance security.
Also stationed outside the theatre, Eric’s bodyguards closely monitored the screening room they entered.
George wheeled Eric to their seats while Kate carried a large bucket of popcorn and three sodas.
She sat on Eric’s left, and George was on his right, flanking him protectively. All three wore hats and face masks, blending in as much as possible.
The theatre wasn’t very crowded. Kate noticed that most of the audience were young couples, which raised their trio’s profile.
-especially the single George.
