Chapter 12
Earlier. Josie said that Henry had gone back home, so she suddenly hung up the phone. Then, Madelyn got so worried as she didn’t hear from Josie afterward.
Coincidently, Madelyn bumped into Samuel when she was at the front door.
Seeing Jovie curled up in the comer, Samuel’s eyes turned red, and he cursed in his heart, “Don’t be so useless. This is not who you are, Princess Josie.”
Josie choked up as she didn’t expect to meet Samuel in this kind of awkward situation.
She remembered the last time she saw Samuel was three years ago.
Just when Josie and Henry were about to register their marriage, Samuel came to tease her and asked her not to be overly humble in a marriage.
Little did Josie know that Samuel’s prophecy would come true. She was indeed overly humble in her marriage.
“Stop crying. Let’s go back. Samuel grabbed Josie’s arm and didn’t give her a chance to feel bad about herself. “You’re not the only one who got divorced in this world. There’s nothing to be sad about.”
Josie was a little afraid of Samuel. He had been bullying her since she returned to the Gibson family at the age of 15, and Samuel was mean to her.
And he never showed respect to anyone.
She remembered the first time she saw Samuel in the Gibson residence. Samuel bullied her and made her cry straight away.
Henry said she was like a wooden rabbit that didn’t cry or make noise. However, that was simply because Samuel wasn’t around to tease and mock Josie
Samuel had the ability to make people cry instantly.
“Mr. Turner, can you be more gentle?” Madelyn said in a gentle voice. It seemed like Samuel was about to throw Josie into the Harrington River if the latter continued crying.
Samuel frowned and finally shut up.
Josie simply followed behind Madelyn quietly while avoiding Samuel at the same time.
“Has he signed the divorce settlement agreement?” Madelyn asked nervously.
“No.” Josie shook her head.
“Why didn’t he sign yet? What’s he waiting for? Waiting for a miracle to happen?” Samuel raised his voice subconsciously.
Josie suddenly had a feeling that Samuel was looking forward to her divorce from Henry.
After all, Samuel was the one who said that she wasn’t good enough for Henry.
Samuel and Henry had always been close.
They were childhood friends.

“He said that there were omissions with the divorce settlement agreement, so he asked me to go to the company and re–draft it, Josie explained.
“Haha… Samuel sneered. He had a bad feeling.
Chapter 12
Looked like Henry had Josie in the palm of his hand.
“Please don’t tell me
that you want to leave this rage with nothing. Samuel stopped in his tracks abruptly.
Samuel had already guessed it even without Josie opening her mouth.
Samuel’s face darkened, and he gritted his teeth. “You’re so stupid!”
“If Henry asked the company’s legal personnel to re–draft the divorce settlement agreement, then he would definitely not give Josie a chance to go back on her word. Samuel thought.
“I’ll go with you tomorrow. Madelyn was trembling with anger.
Josie shook her head and continued to walk quietly on the road.
Samuel didn’t say anything too. He still looked as arrogant as before, putting his hands in his pocket as he walked.
It was chilly at night, with a few people running on the road.
Madelyn looked at Samuel, who was nearly six feet two inches tall and had a model body. She felt secure instantly.
Josie didn’t want to ride in the private car, so Madelyn accompanied ber to walk home. Surprisingly, Samuel stayed by their side by walking behind them.
“Thank you, Mr. Turner. Madelyn rubbed her hands as she smiled at Samuel.
Samuel raised his eyebrows. “No problem. Just tell Josie that she owes me a favor. She’ll have to treat me to a meal.
The comer of Madelyn’s mouth twitched as she thought Samuel had finally become a better person than before. After saying goodbye to Samuel, Madelyn poured a cup of hot water and walked into the bedroom.
Josie had already laid down on the bed and looked extremely tired.
Madelyn touched Josie’s forehead and realized that the latter had a fever.
Ever since the operation, Josie’s body had become weaker.
The next morning, at Gibson Corporation.
Madelyn touched Josie’s forehead to make sure the latter’s fever had subsided. Then, Madelyn breathed a sigh of relief. “Jo, you really don’t need me to accompany you?”
Josie shook her head with a smile. “Henry is not that bad. All I need to do is to get him to sign the paper.”
“It was just a divorce. I bet Henry wanted it more than I do,” Josie thought.
“Ashley is the future Mrs. Gibson. We must butter her up.”
“Look, the entertainment news these days is all about our boss! [Ashley showed up in Mr. Cibson’s mansion in pajamas]!”
“Mr. Gibson actually took her home? Oh my God, she’s so lucky.”
Josie stood at the front desk, looking at the girls gossiping among themselves.
Josie’s fingers stiffened for a moment. Although she left late at night, Henry still managed to let Ashley enter the house. “Their love… It is enviable, Josie thought.
Josie Ashley’s voice sounded from behind.
